Laguna la Crete, Uvongo Beach on the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal
Laguna La Crete 87 is a comfortable, privately owned ground floor apartment in the popular holiday town of Uvongo.
With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this unit offers spacious holiday living with a spectacular view of the lagoon and ocean. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, plenty cupboard space and an en suite bathroom with bath, toilet and basin. You can lie in bed and see the sea through the glass sliding doors! The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom can sleep 3 children with a single bed and a double bunk. The 2nd bathroom has a toilet, basin, bath and shower. (A camp cot and high-chair are available on request).
The kitchen is fully equipped and has an electric stove for cooking as well as a microwave. There is a kettle, toaster, double sink and even a washing machine.
The lounge/ dining area has couches as well as a small dining-room table, but you will probably spend more time on the spacious patio enjoying the sea breeze and the sound of the waves. A gas braai is available – you can’t have a South African holiday without a braai, can you?! And if you prefer and wood/charcoal fire there are a number of areas in the complex to facilitate that.
Shops and restaurants are conveniently nearby. Uvongo Spar is a mere 700m away and the Pavilion is just across the beach.
The complex has a swimming pool and a tennis court which guests are allowed to use. There are also 2 gates for direct access to the beach. You’ll find the gate key on the set of house keys. A lifeguard is on duty from morning until afternoon, so enjoy your swim in the waves between the two flags planted on the beach. Up on the hill is a little shop, so take some money for ice-creams.
You will notice the security guard discreetly roaming through the complex keeping an eye on things with 24-hour security and access control at the gate give added peace of mind, although we do recommend locking away valuables in the safe in the main bedroom cupboard when you are out just to be on the safe side.
If the sound of crashing waves refreshes your soul, or if the feel of water and sunshine on your skin beckons you time and again to the seaside, then you won’t be sorry that you chose this spot for your break. Value for money, well positioned and well-maintained, this is definitely a great option for your next break.

Cancellation Policy
For bookings made on or after April 6, 2020, be sure to consider the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and associated government measures. If you don’t book a flexible rate, you may not be entitled to a refund. Your cancellation request will be handled by the property, based on your chosen policy and consumer law where applicable. During times of uncertainty, we recommend booking an option with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can cancel free of charge until free cancellation expires.
House Rules
Smoking is not allowed.
Parties/events are not allowed
Guests need be quiet between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Fines are given for noise.
Pets are not allowed.
Refundable damage deposit
A damage deposit of ZAR 1000 is required to be paid into an account before arrival. The code for the key lockbox will only be sent to you once the deposit is in the account. The damage deposit will be refunded less any damages, fines and laundry extra charges usually after 5 working days.

All bedding and bath towels are provided.However there are no beach towels so please bring your own.

A gas braai is provided on the balcony/patio to enjoy a good old South Africa braai on the patio overlooking the ocean; should you prefer the more traditional wood/coal braai, you will find communal braai areas scattered throughout the resort.
Pool
There is a beautiful well-maintained pool with wood braai facilities that our guests can use.
Seaviews
A highlight are the beautiful sunrises over the ocean. Whale viewing and sardines, between July and November, migrant Humpback and Southern Right Whales can be spotted moving northwards along the coast.
Fully Equipped Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped and has an electric stove for cooking as well as a microwave. There is a kettle, toaster, double sink etc.
Please bring extra drying cloth and dishcloths as only 1 of each is provided.

Perfect for those family dinners.

There is a Smart Tv in the lounge with Openview and wifi. You can bring your DSTV decoder as there is a connection to the dish on the roof.
